When to Visit Anguilla

Best time: December through April represents the Caribbean dry season at its finest — trade winds, low humidity, perfect clarity, and full resort programming at Cap Juluca and Belmond's properties.

Demand: Strongly seasonal — December through April commands near-full occupancy at premium properties. May through November sees significantly reduced demand with many properties closing for annual maintenance.

Pricing: Christmas week rates double or more. February and March offer the Caribbean's finest beach conditions at 25-40% less than peak holiday pricing.

Insider tip: Anguilla has some of the Caribbean's best restaurants for its size — Veya and Straw Hat are essential. Reserve before arrival as tables at the best spots are limited island-wide.

Avoid: August through October brings the peak Atlantic hurricane season. September 2017's Hurricane Irma remains a cautionary example — travel insurance is essential and the risk, while manageable, is real.
