Aman-i-Khás is featured in 6 of our curated collections:
Best time: October through June is the park's open season. February through May offers the highest tiger visibility as heat drives wildlife to water holes, with April and May being peak sighting months.
Demand: Tiger zone safari permits are the primary demand constraint. Peak visibility coincides with the hottest months, creating a counterintuitive luxury travel pattern.
Pricing: The finest Ranthambhore properties command consistent rates during the open season. Shoulder months October through December offer excellent conditions with fewer visitors competing for zone permits.
Insider tip: Zones 1-5 in the core area have the highest tiger density. Insist on early zone allocation when booking through ultra-luxury properties — the peripheral zones are significantly less productive for sightings.
Avoid: The park closes July through September during monsoon season. June offers the final pre-closure window with excellent value and warm but manageable temperatures.
